F.L. Smithe Safety Updates Infra-red lamps, once standard equipment for maintaining anvil bearing temperatures (on all WRW Panel Cutters) have the disadvantage of obstructing one side of the panel cutter. They also present the hazard of breakage. We have changed our design to a "ring" heater which fits on the outside of the bearing block. This makes the panel cutter more accessible by eliminating the large infra-red lamp. The Chromolox temperature control is still used with the ring heaters to combine in a compact, efficient heating method. As well as being standard on new equipment, they are available for AP-PC and PC units on WRW machines in the field. To order please specify SA-8526-B for Ring Heaters & SA-8551 for Control Box if it is needed. As always, please contact us at any time by phone or E-Mail should any questions arise.
