F.L. Smithe Safety Updates
At the request of the EMA Technical Committee, a new safety ratchet and pawl mechanism has been developed and adapted as standard on all new machines to prevent injury to hands and fingers from falling boxes. It is a positive locking device when raising or lowering gum boxes and water boxes. It can be easily installed on machines which are now in operation.
