Under Sections 1910.217 et seq., Mechanical Power Presses, the employer is obligated, among other things, to maintain records of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power presses [1910.217(e)(1)(i)], train power press nspectors 11910.217 (e)(3)], and train operators [1910.217 (g) (2)].
Under Section 1910.217 (c) the point of operation is to be guarded.
If you need additional or do not have maintenance procedures for the Bliss unit used in the open window punch press, model OP, please order Instruction No. 50B.
Additional safety guards for the OP have been available since 1976. We strongly recommend that all guards be ordered and installed on your OP press. Order Instruction No. 50C and the following guards:
