F.L. Smithe Safety Updates
The RA high speed patcher transfer cylinder vacuum control valve has been relocated to the outside of the machine for H.S.P's Serial No. 4052 and up. The new valve assembly replaces the valve that was located on the vacuum tie bar, just inside the operator side frame. This valve was relocated for convenience and safety. The operator no longer has to open the guard and reach inside the machine to turn the valve on or off. For additional protection, a safety guard is provided to be mounted on the upper side of the frame opening.
We strongly recommend all RA machines with H.S.P's be converted to an outside valve. To order please specify RA Special Order File No. 219.
