BOE Booklet/Open End Machine

       The F.L. Smithe CHAMPION "BOE" Booklet/Open End envelope folding machine represents the latest design and technology in the field of envelope manufacturing machinery. This is a cost-efficient, high-speed, quick-change machine which produces a wide range of booklet (wallet), open end (pocket), and diagonal (banker) style envelopes.
       The BOE feeder/printer station provides both disc and shovel feed capabilities, plus one inside and two outside flexographic printers. These printers can be easily converted to the reverse angle doctor blade system. Vacuum transfer tables -- used throughout the machine -- enhance registration, enable faster size changes and afford better access.
       An extensive list of options keeps machine cost low while allowing maximum flexibility and versatility. The BOE can be used to produce specialty envelopes by including the panel cutter and patcher, and the optional second patcher station. Patch and Pull, latex, timed seal, and mirror gumming are also possible.
       F. L. Smithe has incorporated the most modern features into the BOE machine to ensure operator ease and production versatility.

BOE ATTACHMENT - BOW
       The "BOW," optional web attachment for the BOE machine, is designed for high speed production of booklet (wallet) or open end (pocket) style envelopes from the web.
       A BOE, with the "BOW" option, can produce envelopes from either the web or die-cut blank. The machine can be easily changed from web fed to blank fed, or vise versa. Rectangular sheets can be fed through the machine to produce shaped blanks. These sheets may be preprinted, and since blank shaping follows the printer station, full-bleed printing can also be attained. To further increase production versatility, an additional shaping station may be used for specialty trimming, or as a second panel cutter,
       The BOW can be ordered with the BOE machine or may be attached to a BOE at a later date. Any commercially available web splicer can be interfaced to the BOW.
